Dynamic 3D Balancing

Dynamic Idler Tube 3D BalancingEase and accuracy of balancing are significant benefits of WINertia rollers. Traditional idlers are balanced on each end using cumbersome operations such as welding, drilling and epoxying weight to the inside of the idler.  Dynamic 3D Balancing, exclusively by Componex, adds weight to the center of the idler within built-in balancing chambers that run the full length of roller and by design, make it impossible for the weight to fall out.  This helps reduce whip and vibrations at high speed because the idler is balanced across its full length. 

 

Points of Interest

Balance lugs run the length of WINertia ™ tube allowing weights to be pushed to the center of the roll to reduce whip.

  • Weight cannot fall out.
  • Standard balancing spec is ISO 1940 G6.3
  • Standard balancing speed is 1500 FPM (unless otherwise specified)
  • Balancing reports are linked to serial number of roll.
  • Every roll is shipped with a balancing report.
